Taxes subsidise primary, secondary and tertiary education, healthcare, transport, infrastructure. Low carbon footprint, green energy sources, primarily solar, wind, hydroelectric and nuclear. Pacifists. Small, but highly trained army, solely for defence. Current president is Sylvia McLean. Very popular. Implemented socialism to abolish the monarchy. Before the abolishment, Sylvia was Prime Minister, and still popular then too. Proportional representation. More left wing parties in party, more right wing seats taken. Dehydrated food in tubes and packs is common. In the country, traditional food culture is upheld. The tardigrade (water bear) is the national animal, seen as "awesome" and "little fellows" usually regarded as companions to the human populaton, and plentiful across the nation, on the notion that the Tardigrade's willingness to survive all odds can be used as a metaphor for persistance. Bordurian Islands	Semi-democratic commonwealth composed of regions in the Balkans and Mediterranean. Legislature composed of senators from each region, although corruption is high. People vote in yearly elections, although the polls are usually pointless as the office has been held by the same party since 1992.
